On Saturday, Jamie and I had our first trip to Fenway Park together to see a double-headed with the Lowell Spinners and then the Pawtucket Red Sox. It was great to be in Fenway again and be able to have Jamie experience history and see some future Boston Red Sox players.

Well instead of playing the backyard, the whole family went out to the MerchantsAuto.com Stadium (Yes, that is really the name) to see the NH Fisher Cats (AA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) against the Portland Sea Dogs (AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.)  When we left at the top of the 5th inning, the Fisher Cats were winning 7-2!  It’s hard though to determine who you should root for…the home team or the Red Sox futures? Hopefully the futures play better than the actual Red Sox did tonight when the lost their second game in a row to the Angels, 6-2.

So I mowed the lawn to make a little baseball field for Jamie.  Not your typical 90 foot lengths but 30 feet is bigger than what Jamie had been doing.  I’m not completely convinced I want to rip up my lawn yet.

Here’s a sneak peak.
